MITACA

Design Studio: Ingegnere Giorgio Lazzarato

Location: Malvaglio (MI)

A dynamic environment for the operative zone and a prestigious image for the executive offices. All areas present a combination of finishes which recalls the world of coffee, a prime consideration for Mitaca, a Company that deals in capsules for express coffee and hot drinks.

Mitaca is a company that designs, manufactures and distributes espresso coffee and hot beverage dispensing systems using pods, for use both by small offices and large companies. Sacea was selected to outfit the space of the new headquarters at Malvaglio in the province of Milan. An essential element of the brief was to recreate a dynamic environment for the operational quarters and a very stylish one for the executive management offices.

All spaces featured the use of warm colours combined with mocha shades that recall coffee-chocolate tones. At the same time, the work environments were designed to maintain a natural luminosity thanks to the use of Daylight monoglass partitioning.

The Nest range was a natural choice for executive office desking and storage. In particular, the Managing Director's office featured a large Nest table used both as a desk and a meeting table.

A small waiting area, delimited by a custom-built glass wall acting as a filter between the executive offices and the more operational areas was outfitted with Young range tables.

The reception featured a glass structure that has been back-lacquered in a bright orange, clearly signalling the access-welcome area.

The breakout area included a special unit with a drop-leaf top that hides a sink but which can also be used as a display.

For the training room used for training courses, Sacea supplied tables from the Young collection.
