Nuovi Investimenti SIM
Design Studio: Sacea
Location: Sandigliano
The company, Società Nuovi Investimenti SIM, has been operating for approximately 20years in Italy in the sector of investment management and brokerage. It consists of a series of branches and brokerage offices; Sacea was commissioned with the study and design of the furnishings for the new building in Sandigliano (BI), the operative and management headquarters.
Enormous ability to adapt rapidly to change – this is an essential feature of the new headquarters. More than 350 linear meters of partitions and high tech desks for the 50 work stations were to be installed.
The walls of the system Store, thanks to their high degree of intrinsic flexibility, proved to be the ideal choice. From the design stages to the final delivery and installation, numerous modifications were made; and even after installation, the pieces were moved five times in the space of six months; the walls gradually molded around the ambiences. Initially the project involved blind partition walls between the offices; then it was decided that more light was required for the operative areas and with work ongoing changes were made to the partitions with additional half-windowed panels inserted. The walls of the corridors were completely glass-panelled with adjustable blinds inside to modulate the degree of privacy; in the meeting areas, there are all-glass walls, horizontal panels and doors 3 meters high.
In addition to containing the cables, the walls have been fitted with aspiration openings to facilitate the cleaning operations and in some areas, slide-robes were installed to facilitate the access to the existing track-fitted cupboards and provide the space necessary for filing.
The operative area, destined to the brokers, necessitated large surfaces with a vertical extension to support 8 monitors simultaneously. The bases were fitted with two wheels and two removable plugs to permit easy access by technical staff for interventions on a specific machine without interrupting the service to other workstations; there is also a central 'technological wall' which can house an enormous number of cables.
Seriousness, efficiency, confidentiality, energy and collaborative spirit are evident in the offices of "Nuovi Investimenti Sim".
